They are based on the simplicity of form and carefully thought-out solutions that are to work well both during travel, trekking, long marches or in an urban environment. An important element of the SPECTRUM series is the search for intuitive solutions that do not require additional adjustments. Ease of use and a wide range of applications make it truly a series for everyone.

SHAPE: TRAPEZ

Trapezoid is an outline that gradually runs from the shoulders to the feet. It is a cut that simplifies the anatomic outline. More fitted in the chest. Provides a good weight to thermal comfort ratio.

PROFILE: TWO-PIECE

Two-piece or classic profile in which the top and bottom are joined at the edges. The design allows to create clean oval cross-section in which the front and back of the sleeping bag smoothly pass to the sides. This is the most frequently used profile in our offer.

CUT: REGULAR

To facilitate comparison, we distinguished three fits: snug, regular and loose.

LAYERS TYPE: H-SHAPED BOX BAFFLING

: H-shaped or classic box baffling. The surface of the fabric and the lining are connected by a perpendicular fabric called a spacer tape. Thanks to this distance, the phenomenon of cold spots in the place of the sewning is reduced. This shape of the baffle allows the down to expand freely and give the insulation layer a regular shape. This is the most common type of baffles we use.

FOR THE GOOD START

Since the beginning, we assumed that AR would be our most versatile sleeping bag. So we started out by figuring out what that basically means. It was supposed to be a sleeping bag for everyone and for all conditions, so we invited a group of people from different outdoor fields to work with us on this project. What surprised us the most was the expectation of no adjustment available. We expected different responses. The feedback was: a comfortable but not spacious shape, the ease of use of the zipper, the possibility of temperature regulation and a wide range of basis weights. We started working with those assumptions and a large dose of ideas.

The first AR went to Patagonia together with our ambassador Marcin Wernik (Wernix) in November 2019. The sleeping bag already had its trapezoidal shape, a central zipper and a large hood. Although it performed well since this version, a lot has changed. We corrected the collar many times, which was supposed to provide a snug fit. We modeled the hood to cover the head even better. We rolled the bottom of the sleeping bag to make it fit better. We took off the YKK overlays on the zipper, we added a logo and refined other details.

TESTS

We gradually developed the design of the sleeping bag and invited more people to test it. They have tested next versions and various variants of weight to be sure that the variant solution would work. Apart from Marcin Wernik - mountaineer, ski mountaineer, explorer of virgin walls and lover of solo style, the tests were performed by:

- Jakub Radziejowski, our ambassador, expert in climbing, mountaineer, instructor and a guide.
- Adam Frątczak (Hopeless Outdoor Team) - our specialist in hammocking and camping in the bushes
- Łukasz Tawkin from Manaslu Outdoor, who works in mountain tourism, backpacking and cycling on various terrain
- Kuba Witos Photography - mountain enthusiast and phenomenal photographer
- Damian Ochtabiński - climber, tourist, instructor and photographer
- Góral z Mazur - a long-distance runner who with our sleeping bag set the record for the GSB winter crossing, ran over 500 km in 177 h and 59 minutes
- Dorota Rakowicz, who tested AR for Góry - Górski Magazyn Sportowy
- Iwona Górowska (Bez Igły) GOPR rescuer - Mountain Volunteer Rescue Service, climber, traveler

Now we can safely say - It’s a good product!

INNOVATION

Innovation is the sum of small details that make up your comfort. What you expect from a sleeping bag is not only a good weight to warmth ratio. This is what most down sleeping bags provide. AR is primarily ease of use, convenience and functionality. When designing it, we focused on making it a sleeping bag for everyone and in all conditions. We believe we have succeeded.

4.

ERGONOMICS

Usually there are two different shapes of sleeping bags. Mummy and envelope. We have decided to think outside the box. When designing new sleeping bags, we were looking for the optimal proportions for each of them. We gave AR a geometric shape that we called narrowing. It is the optimal compromise between comfort and weight. It is not a classic mummy, because it lacks a stepped extension near the chest. Nevertheless, we made sure that AR guarantees comfort. Taking into account the structure of the human body, we have drawn a gradually widening shape corresponding to our anatomy. Additionally, we used a raised bottom for comfort in the feet.

5.

HOOD

The culmination is a spacious hood, which, despite its volume, thanks to the appropriate modeling, covers the head on every side. What's more, it will stick on it regardless of whether we are lying or sitting, and whether the zipper is zipped or unzipped.

INTUITIVENESS

One of our basic goals was to create a sleeping bag that would be intuitive to use and provide not only thermal comfort, but also the convenience of using it. That's why we placed the zipper in the most natural place - in the center. Exactly like a jacket. It makes no difference whether you are left or right handed, you can easily reach the zipper. The central zipper is also convenient to go inside. The arrangement of pockets on both sides of the zipper on the chest is equally natural.

7.

NO MAINTENANCE

One of the most important things that emerged during many months of consultations with outdoor people was the expectation that a universal sleeping bag would not require unnecessary adjustment. That is why we wanted as many elements as possible to work unattended. We have developed an innovative shape of the inner collar that fits over the shoulders without the need for adjustment. We have refined the shape of the slat covering the zipper and the way it is sewn in so that it fits best with the zipper tape and smoothly flows into the collar, thanks to which it perfectly protects against heat loss.

CONTROL

One of the advantages of our sleeping bag is the convenience of using it. The circumference of the hood is adjusted with an elastic band, which we put inside. Thanks to this, you do not have to take your hands out of the sleeping bag to be able to use it. This is a great help but also reduces heat loss. What's more important the puller does not get in the way, we have prepared a pocket in which you can stuff it after adjustment .

9.

DETAIL

The whole is complemented by important details that will further facilitate the use of the sleeping bag. AR has a new YKK slider to prevent clipping of the loose fabric. The zipper is equipped with a double-sided non-stopping sliders that facilitate unzipping. There is a reflective patch with our logo next to the pocket, which will help you find it. Each zipper has a black and white string from a Polish manufacturer. Outside, we sewed four pullers also made in Poland.

POLYGIENE

Our goal is to ensure the greatest possible comfort and longest life for the products that we give into your hands. That is why the lining with POLYGIENE technology plays such an important role in our offer. Thanks to the silver ions having antibacterial and anti-odor properties, you can significantly extend the product life cycle.
